A special thank-you to Richard who contacted me and sent this great image which compliments the site and shows the connection that his Great Grandfather had with Christopher Albrow. Let's let him tell it in his own words

My Gt Grandfather Albert Edwin Rees was also in the Welsh Regiment in India at that time, and from his service record, would have been on the same troopship SS Oriental to Malta.

You might be interested in the attached - it's the inside covers from his Army bible.

His service number was 3269 and he was in the 2nd Battalion in India until Feb 1902 when he and 150ish others were shipped to South Africe and joined the 1st Battalion. He came back to Southampton in July 1902.

Albert appears to be doing some nursing duties ( in Wellington ) in August 1897. Also note that Albert mentions that the troopship from Malta to India is called The Malabar.
