I have changed
the method of showing documents. When you click on the link it opens
a new, small webpage. When you have finished viewing it, just close
it out by clicking on the cross in the top right corner. This lower
tech method solved the coding conflicts that I was experiencing.
The ALBROW page is done and I am slowly working through the other
pages. The images are much sharper than the old system and you can
save them to your computer by right clicking and saving the image.

I would love to hear from anyone who may have anything
to add or who has documents to help to add to our family tree.
A very special thank-you to Cousin Angela who has

her when we hit a snag! Also: Paul Mantripp, Graham Rice,
Angela Forster, Lynne Hall, Alison France
and Jackie Chappell for their help and/or guidance.

Cousins Cousins Cousins:
There are references throughout the site, especially on the family
tree pages, that refer to cousins and second cousins etc. This information
may clear up those reletionships:
Your ‘first cousin’ is someone with whom you
share two of the same grandparents.
Your ‘second cousin’ is someone with whom you
share the same great-grandparents.
Your ‘third cousin’ is someone with whom you
share the same great great-grandparents.And so on down the line.
‘Removed’ means that you and your relative are
from different generations.
Example 1. My father’s first cousin is my first cousin, once
removed. 2. My grandfather’s first cousin is my first cousin,
twice removed. |

Census
Christopher
was located, with the family, in St Pancras at the 1881 Census,
age two. Then by age 12 (1891 Census) his father, William
had become a publican and they are living at the public house: The
Three Elms. The record shows him employed as a paperhanger
....at 12! His older brother, Herbert is shown on the 1891 Census
as a barman....at age 15. Worth noting here that less than two years
later, Christopher signs up with the Welsh
Regiment. The marriage to Louisa takes
place at the Register Office, St. Pancras 18 May 1904. soon
after his army discharge: 29th Nov 1903. It appears that the witnesses
are Louisa's father, Charles and her younger
sister, Charlotte.
The 1911 Census
shows the Albrows are living at 23 Little Randolph Street NW
1. Right opposite Louisa's father,
Charles at no.24. Their son,
Charles seems to be spending the night with Grandfather, Charles.
See
the 1911 Census completed by Charles Isbell here
They share the same address with Charles
when Christopher cites his address at
the time of his army attestation in 1915. The move to Rochford,
Essex (Southend-on Sea) takes place after Christopher's army discharge.
Herbert is the first child of their marriage
to be born at Rochford.
Note: Little Randolph Street, Parish of St Thomas, St. Pancras is
now known as Rousden Street just off Randolph St

Marriage:
Sarah Chilvers 5 July 1768
Death:

It's worth
noting that Jeremiah uses both the Alborough and
Albrow spelling.
The couple had at least four children, twins Charles and Susannah
and sons Jeremiah and William. Jeremiah
died in his teens.
From what I have found out so far, it appears that Sarah
was widowed with one child when she married our Jeremiah.
The twins were born between the 'reading of the banns' and the marriage.
