The Butters line joins into the Isbells with Charlotte and John's marriage. The last point of reference on the Isbell tree is partially repeated here to help with continuity. Take a look at an 1840 Map of East Anglia

Charlotte Butters
Birth: 1821 Hoe*, Norfolk
Death: 1883 at St. Pancras
* pronounced 'Hoo' Recorded in The Doomsday Book as 'Hou'

The Isbell's are living in Greengate, Swanton Morley for the 1851 Census, with Mary, William and Emma. We can assume that the elder Emma had died in infancy. (I will work on that one) By 1854, Charles' birth date, the family had left Norfolk and were living in St. Pancras. The 1861 Census finds the family living at: 19, Ferdinand Street, St Pancras and John is employed as a carpenter

In the Census of 1881 Charlotte was widowed and lodging with the Cuckson family at 18 Prince of Wales Cres., St. Pancras

Interesting historical note:
Swanton Morley was the home of Richard Lincoln, local churchwarden (1599-1620) who built the mansion known today as The Angel Free House. Lincoln was the wealthy grandfather of Samuel Lincoln and Richard's seal can be seen today in the east window of All Saints Church in Swanton Morley. Richard Lincoln disinherited Samuel's father Edward from his will in favour of his fourth wife, thus throwing the Lincoln family into penury and forcing young Samuel to flee to Hingham, Massachusetts. His great-great-great-great-grandson was Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States of America.
