Return
to the Albrow Family Tree
The
Hunt line joins the tree with the marriage
of Elizabeth Hunt to Christopher
Frowen. As I have done with all the branches, the
last point of reference on the Frowen
tree is repeated here to help with continuity.

The
Iron Bridge, Chepstow built in 1816 was probably a familiar
sight to our Christopher and Elizabeth

| Stephen
Hunt
Birth:
1792
at Shaftesbury, Dorset
Baptised:
11 Jul 1792
Marriage:
Elizabeth Cole 27 Oct 1818 at Ross-on-Wye
Death:
1877 at Ross-on-Wye, Hereford
The Shaftesbury area is a regional centre for dairy in general and
cheese in particulay, which may have influenced Stephen's
choice of career.
The 1841 Census
shows the Hunts living in Brookend St, Ross, Herefordshire.
Stephen is described as a 'Cheese Factor'
(an agent or dealer)
By 1861 the children have all left home but Stephen
and Elizabeth are still at Brookend
St. Elizabeth
died in 1874 and Stephen seems to have
lived there until his death in 1877 as he is listed in Littlebury's
Directory and Gazetteer of Herefordshire, 1876: "Hunt
Stephen, Shopkeeper, Brookend St."
I have not been able to get an exact location but the premises was
just three buildings from the Railway Inn (1861 Census)
In the 1841Census the family are located at a different part of
Brookend St., just one house from the corner of Kyrle St.

William

I have deleted the earlier entry for this generation,
which I noted was suspect. It looks like we have it correct now
so I am just getting information on William etc.
